Fresh Air. Physical Strain. Open Space.
Every photograph has a story behind it, although some photographs result from an adventure. These photographs and stories are some of my favorite adventures. From the deep snow of an Alaskan winter to the trackless sands of the vast deserts, to the ever-dark skies of a moonless night to the solitude of a still morning, these photographs are sure to spark the spirit of adventure within you.
The Spirit of the Wild
Making a photograph that resonates requires more than just being in a cool location. It demands a patient immersion in the landscape and a willingness to stand against the elements. Whether I’m navigating the silent, winding backroads of the San Juan Mountains, waiting out a fierce Alaskan winter, or traversing the trackless sands of the vast deserts, these images represent my commitment to being in the moment. The Adventure collection is a tribute to those surreal times where the physical strain of the trek slides into the background, replaced by the clarity of the moment.
While much of my heart resides in the Southwest, I adventure far and wide to tell my stories. You will find the quiet persistence of wildlife in their natural habitats and the mesmerizing power of a supercell over the high plains. I go where the story takes me, near or far, day or night.
It is my hope that these scenes let you bring a piece of that wild, untamed journey into your own home.
