Ancient ruins. Evolving Landscapes. Uncovered artifacts.
History is far more than a course we took in our youth. History is where we came from and the footprints that those before us left behind for us to follow. History is ancient places and nearly forgotten peoples. History is living, breathing, even today, and woven into the fabric of our lives. These photographs bring our past to the here and now, and let us enjoy yesterday.
Echoes of the Past
Making a photograph that honors our history requires a deep appreciation for the footprints left behind by those who came before us. I make an intentional effort to preserve the spirit and character of a nearly forgotten time, whether that means waiting for the perfect light to strike a weathered homestead or tracking the iron giants of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge line. These photographs represent my deep commitment to historical storytelling. My goal is bring yesterday to today.
While much of this collection is anchored in the untamed and rugged landscapes of New Mexico and the Southwest, the stories themselves remain universal. Here, you find the quiet persistence of ancient ruins and messages from the past, to the mesmerizing power of steam locomotives conquering the San Juan Mountains. Each piece is an invitation to pause and consider the evolution of history that has shaped who we are today.
It is my hope that these scenes let you bring a piece of that living history into your own home, offering a glimpse into the artifacts and stories that define our shared past.
