Autumn Overture
Autumn Overture is a soaring panoramic photograph of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains in perfect fall color
Story
The inevitable march of autumn has its ritual. The days grow shorter, and colder, as summer fades. The shadows grow longer, and winter is about to keep its promise. But the trees, far from being disquieted, sing their song of progression, as Autumn Overture aptly showcases.
Exploding in a riot of color, nature revels in the transition. Lush, verdant greens give way to yellows, oranges, reds, and every hue in between. Many of the colors don’t even have a proper name. When taken all together, the colors overwhelm the eyes.
Add in a stunning backdrop of the Colorado’s Dallas Divide in the San Juan Mountains, and the tapestry becomes even richer. And if that’s not enough, let’s include the season’s first snowfall in the mix.
Autumn Overture celebrates the transition from summer to winter in the best way possible. Everywhere you look, you’ll find a new color to marvel at, a new mountain peak to explore, and a new detail you’ve never seen before. The tapestry is rich and complex, full of joy and harmony. Autumn has never looked so good, and we’ll always have this exalted moment.
