Story

Arizona’s White Pocket is truly a hidden gem. As you approach, you’re in a wholly unremarkable southwestern desert. Sand here, rock there, small trees struggling, and scrub brush everywhere. The next moment you find yourself in a red rock wonderland. What better way to bring the breathtaking scene to life than a panorama? Pocket Panorama does just that.

White Pocket, in terms of overall area, is small, and you can walk from one end to the other in no time. However, it is full of swirls and twisted rocks that could not possibly have happened. Everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, you look, you find another incredible rock feature. It is totally overwhelming, and you’re tired not from physical exertion but rather from taking it all in.

This, though, is a dilemma for me. How do I best present it? After exploring the entire formation and having been here multiple times, this view stands out to me. Here, you can absorb the expanse and variety of the rocks.

You can feel what it is like to be in White Pocket. And you can even see a little beyond, too, which ever so subtly gives it the sense of scale. This tiny place is like no other, and Pocket Panorama lets you be there, exploring it with me.
